Arts to Smarts

VSA Vermont, the state organization on arts & disability, wanted to document the initial phase of a new program called Arts to Smarts, in which teaching artists were trained and sent into classrooms to help “reluctant and reactive learners.”

Production

I interviewed the artists, teachers, school administrators, and state officials for the project, and spent hours inside of the classrooms filming the teaching artists in action with the students.

I cut the footage into three videos: A full documentary (13 minutes) and two shorter promotional videos.
